Educator and Mentor
Perrie Scarlett is a dedicated high school teacher and teaching golf professional with a passion for mentoring youth through education and sports. Originally from Winnipeg, he understands firsthand the impact of athletics in shaping a young person’s future, as sports played a crucial role in keeping him engaged in school.
Perrie earned degrees from both the University of Winnipeg and the University of British Columbia, and he remains a proud supporter of the Winnipeg Jets and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
As a MEND Canada board member, he is committed to breaking down barriers to youth participation in sports, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to use athletics as a stepping stone toward a successful future.
With a deep belief in the power of sports to inspire, teach discipline, and build character, Perrie aligns with MEND Canada’s mission to empower Indigenous youth through physical activity and mentorship.
