A New Digital Platform Dedicated to Inspiring Indigenous Youth Through Sport, Education, and Community Support.
Vancouver, British Columbia – March 25 – Mend Canada is proud to announce the launch of its new website, www.mendcanada.org, a digital platform dedicated to supporting Indigenous children and youth through sport and physical activity. The website offers visitors a seamless experience to learn more about Mend Canada’s mission, initiatives, and impact while providing an easy way to make a meaningful contribution or register for the sports programs.
“Sports and physical activity can engage, inspire, and serve as a platform for building life skills,” said Terry Sedgwick, CEO and Board Chair of Mend Canada. “The launch of this new website is designed to provide a more user-friendly and informative experience for parents, supporters, First Nations communities, sports coaches, and partners.”
Empowering Indigenous Youth Through Sport and Education
Mend Canada is about investing in Indigenous children and youth from ages 4-18, helping them participate in sport and physical activity. Our goal is to inspire and assist the next generation of Indigenous youth in the pursuit of education, advancing toward rewarding careers, and making constructive advancements in their lives—using lessons from sport and physical activity as the catalyst. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by Indigenous communities, Mend Canada aims to increase high school completion rates and provide meaningful opportunities for future success.
A Call to Action: Make a Difference Today
Mend Canada relies on the generosity of donors and supporters to continue its work. Visitors to the new website are encouraged to explore ways to get involved and donate at https://www.mendcanada.org/donate.
“We believe in building stronger communities through action, compassion, and support,” said Sedgwick. “Every contribution makes a difference, and together, we can create meaningful change.”
