Christopher Doll, KC
Legal Expert & Community Leader

Christopher Doll, KC is a dedicated board member of MEND Canada, leveraging his extensive legal expertise and deep commitment to community service to support the organization’s mission of empowering Indigenous youth through sport.

Chris’ legal career has been marked by a commitment to advocacy, ensuring clients receive fair representation in all levels of court, as well as in arbitration and mediation settings. Over the years, he has represented clients in difficult insurance claims, in construction disputes (including the "leaky condo" litigation of the 1990s), and has helped corporate clients to navigate complex governance issues.

Beyond his legal career, Chris has been an active leader in his community. He has served on the boards of a wide variety of organizations, including the Lower Lonsdale Business Association (President, 1995-1999), the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce (Board Chair, 2009-2010), and Capilano University (Vice-Chair, 2017-2018).

Chris is also involved in humanitarian efforts. In 1990, he helped establish a Canadian branch of Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders, serving for many years as a volunteer, on the Board of Directors, and as an Officer. In addition to working with up and coming lawyers and law students, Chris’ commitment to mentorship has extended to his alma mater, the University of British Columbia’s Department of Psychology, and to the School of Business at Capilano University.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Chris has a strong connection to rugby. He was a coach at Capilano RFC from 2004-2015, became a certified Level 1 referee in 2011, and remains an active member of the Capilano Rugby Club. He firmly believes in the power of sport to teach discipline, teamwork, and resilience—values that align with MEND Canada’s mission to help Indigenous youth thrive through physical activity and mentorship.

Chris’ professional integrity, excellence in the practice of law, and meaningful contributions to the legal profession and community were recognized in 2015 when he was appointed King’s Counsel.
